Dedicated high school string players from throughout the region are invited to participate in two days of wonderful music-making as part of Georgia State University’s poplar High School Honor Orchestra.

Students will spend Sunday, October 26 and Monday, October 27 rehearsing challenging repertoire and participating in sectionals with Georgia State performance faculty. They will conclude the two days with a concert in the Rialto Center for the Arts.

Participants will:

• Rehearse challenging repertoire under the artistic leadership of Michael Palmer
• Participate in masterclasses with Georgia State University performance faculty Christos Galileas, Tania Maxwell Clements, Martha Gerschefski and Emory Clements
• Interact with Georgia State University School of Music students
• Perform in concert at the Rialto Center for the Arts*

* Teachers, parents, familty and friends are welcome to attend this free, public concert event.

Participation fee is $60 per student
